Murette AG and Pantaenius Group on a Joint Course

Both companies were run for decades by two brothers who were passionate about sailing – Harald Baum took over Pantaenius in Hamburg in 1972, while Hans-Peter Baum founded Murette AG in Bern in 1979. For decades, the name Baum has been synonymous with innovative yacht insurance, strong customer loyalty and extensive claims expertise. Today, the daughters and sons of Hans-Peter and Harald Baum run the businesses and have decided to join forces.

The Pantaenius Group was founded in Hamburg in 1899 and is now the European leader in boat and yacht insurance. With 12 branches in Europe and Australia, the family-owned company offers a global network of over 35,000 specialised water sports businesses, which, together with the in-house claims department, provide rapid assistance in the event of a claim.
