Pantaenius Fiji Regatta Week 2026: A South Pacific Celebration for Cruising Sailors

There are few sailing events in the South Pacific quite like Fiji Regatta Week.

In 2026, the much-loved event returns to Musket Cove from 15 to 19 September for its 42nd edition, bringing together yacht owners, Bluewater cruisers, liveaboards, families and sailors from around the world.

This year will be especially memorable, with Musket Cove Resort & Marina also celebrating its 50th anniversary. For anyone currently cruising through the Pacific, Fiji Regatta Week is one of those events worth adding to the passage plan.

Pantaenius is proud to be part of the event as naming rights sponsor of the 2026 Pantaenius Fiji Regatta Week, supporting one of the Pacific’s most iconic gatherings for the international cruising community.

A Regatta With Real History

Fiji Regatta Week has grown over more than four decades into one of the most recognised events on the South Pacific cruising calendar.

Hosted by Musket Cove Yacht Club and Musket Cove Island Resort & Marina, the regatta has long been a natural meeting point for yachts travelling through Fiji’s spectacular cruising grounds. For many sailors, Musket Cove is more than just a stopover. It is a place to rest, reconnect, race, celebrate and share stories with crews from across the world.

The event has always carried a relaxed island spirit. It is competitive enough to be exciting, but friendly enough that everyone feels welcome. That balance is what has made Fiji Regatta Week such an enduring tradition.

Why Musket Cove Is So Special

Located in Fiji’s beautiful Mamanuca Islands, Musket Cove has become a favourite destination for international cruising yachts.

The marina and yacht club are known for sheltered moorings, marina berths, access to resort facilities, restaurants, bars, fuel, laundry, showers, a general store and the much-loved island atmosphere.

The Musket Cove Yacht Club is also famous for being wonderfully unpretentious. Sailors arriving from a foreign port are eligible for membership, which has helped create the easy-going, international community feel the event is known for.

It is this combination of protected cruising waters, warm hospitality and relaxed island life that makes the regatta so special.

What to Expect in 2026

The 2026 Pantaenius Fiji Regatta Week promises five days of sailing, social events, island activities and plenty of fun ashore.
The programme is expected to include:

  • Hobie Cat racing
  • Beach clean-up
  • Opening event and welcome drinks
  • Beachcomber Island Pirates Day
  • Fun run
  • Kids’ games
  • Party night
  • Round Malolo Classic
  • Malolo Sandbank Race
  • Farewell event and prizegiving

Pirates, Parties and Pacific Sailing

One of the most famous traditions of Fiji Regatta Week is Pirates Day, where crews dress up, fly their flags and head to Beachcomber Island for one of the most entertaining days of the week.

The event is not just about racing. It is about the full regatta lifestyle: sailing by day, socialising by night and enjoying the unique warmth of Fiji’s island hospitality.

Expect colourful crews, friendly competition, music, sunset drinks, prizegiving, beachside gatherings and the kind of stories that get retold long after the sails are packed away.

More Than a Race

Fiji Regatta Week is more than a sailing event. It is a celebration of the cruising community.

The regatta brings together bluewater sailors, liveaboards, families, racers, cruisers, locals, sponsors and marine businesses. It supports Fiji’s position as one of the great cruising destinations of the South Pacific and gives yacht owners a chance to connect with the people, places and services that make the region so special.

For many visiting yachts, Musket Cove becomes a natural gathering point during the cruising season before crews decide whether to stay in Fiji, continue through the Pacific, or prepare for onward passages to Australia, New Zealand or beyond.

Pantaenius Australia Will Be There

The Pantaenius Australia team will be attending the 2026 Pantaenius Fiji Regatta Week and looks forward to catching up with clients, cruising sailors and marine industry friends throughout the event.

For Pantaenius customers currently cruising the oceans, especially those in the South Pacific, Fiji Regatta Week is a wonderful opportunity to meet other sailors, enjoy the island atmosphere and connect with the Pantaenius team in person.

As a specialist in bluewater yacht insurance, Pantaenius works with yacht owners, cruising sailors and marine partners across Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and around the world.
