See you at the start line? Twilight sailing is almost back

This season we are once again sponsoring both the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club Women’s and Open’s Twilight Series, along with the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club Twilight Series. And while we’re always happy to see a bit of healthy competition on the water, it’s the community around these events that we really love. Twilight racing has a way of bringing people together, whether you’re a seasoned campaigner who knows every mark by heart, a regular who just enjoys a sail with friends, or the person who somehow got talked into crewing and is still figuring out which end of the boat is which.

These events are a big part of what makes our local sailing communities so special, and supporting them is something we genuinely value at Pantaenius. It’s also a little personal for us. For Jamie, our Managing Director, racing on the NSW waterways- particularly Pittwater, was a huge part of his youth and has remained a deep connection throughout his life. So much of his time was spent on the water, around the clubs and within the racing community, and those experiences became a defining part of who he is. It’s one of the key reasons behind why he feels so strongly about supporting the clubs, events and people that keep local sailing thriving.

As the days get longer and twilight racing gets underway, we’ll be looking forward to seeing another season of local sailing unfold. The close racing, the friendly rivalry, the post-race stories and everything in between!
