Pantaenius supports the Disabled Sailing Association
Pantaenius UK are pleased to be able to support the Disabled Sailing Association as its local charity partner. Based in Torquay, the organisation operates two sailing yachts run entirely by dedicated and highly experienced volunteers.
Pantaenius UK, part of the Pantaenius Group, has provided insurance solutions for 50 years and today has offices in Plymouth and Southampton. Enjoying the water safely is at the core of our company’s ethos. This sponsorship opportunity to help support the incredible work of the DSA in this manner felt extraordinarily suitable.
About the DSA
The DSA is a sailing charity run for the disabled by the disabled. The aim of the charity is, wherever possible, to give everybody, no matter what their disability, the opportunity to enjoy the experience of seagoing sailing in a safe and pleasurable environment and to encourage them to be involved in an activity that many believe they are excluded from.
Crucial and a must-have for the DSA are high spec lifejackets that automatically inflate and these need replacing every three years. To start our relationship, Pantaenius supplied replacement lifejackets to the charity with support from Spinlock, a leading manufacturer of yacht and boat safety equipment. These high-performance lifejackets with distinctive Pantaenius branding were manufactured and branded in their Cowes factory on the Isle of Wight.
