SIMON FIRTH – CLAIMS MANAGER
CII Diploma in Insurance
After a long military career, Simon joined Pantaenius in 2010, initially to launch a new online product. Simon is now the Claims Manager, having spent 6 years as a Claims Handler. He and his team have helped many customers who were unfortunate enough to have to make a claim to get their pride and joy back on the water as quickly as possible.
Simon began racing catamarans as a child and when his father built a Sabre 27, he continued cruising the family yacht on the East Coast and The Netherlands. Away from the office Simon is keen on outdoor activities, live music the odd game of golf and tinkering with all manner of mechanical things.
ANTONY CHAPMAN - CLAIMS HANDLER
CII Certificate in Insurance
Antony joined Pantaenius’ Claims Team at the beginning of 2018 following a 30-year career as a police officer. His skills are used to good effect when handling claims, which he approaches with fairness and compassion. Antony has had motor cruisers in the family for many years and has an RYA Sailing Yacht Competent Crew qualification.
In his own time, Antony enjoys watching rugby, riding his motorcycle, and keeping fit.
COLIN WAY - CLAIMS HANDLER
CII Certificate in Insurance
Joining Pantaenius in 2023, Colin brought with him more than 30 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services, where exceptional customer service was at the heart of his career.
As a valued member of the claims team, Colin is passionate about supporting customers through what can often be the most challenging part of boat ownership, providing reassurance, practical guidance, and a personal approach when it matters most.
Colin’s connection to the marine world extends well beyond the office.
An experienced yacht sailor and qualified Senior dinghy Instructor, Colin has spent many years helping others develop their confidence and skills on the water.
Away from sailing, Colin enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, following football and fitting in a round of golf when he can.
PATRICK DAWES - CLAIMS HANDLER
CII Certificate in Insurance
Patrick joined Pantaenius in January 2022, initially working within the Client Hub before moving into the Claims Team as a Claims Handler. He is currently studying towards his CII professional qualifications. With a strong marine background, Patrick previously worked for a well-known industry brand producing nautical publications used for navigation at sea. He has also worked in the water sports industry and has extensive yacht sailing experience, giving him a deep understanding of the needs of our clients, the challenges of the sea-going environment and the importance of safety at sea.
Patrick brings a customer-focused approach to claims handling, building strong relationships with clients and providing clear, supportive guidance throughout the claims process.
